Act of Consecration to Mary the Mother of God
My Queen! My Mother! I give myself entirely to you and to show my devotion to you, I consecrate to you this day my eyes, my ears, my mouth, my heart, my whole being without reserve. Therefore, good Mother as I am yours, keep me and guard me as your property and possession.
Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that any one who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come; before you I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer them. Amen
One of the most beautiful prayers of thanks in the New Testament is Mary’s Magnificat. In saying prayers to Mary we recognize that she brought Jesus to us physically and that she wants to bring her Son to us spiritually.
Magnificat
My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior
For He has regarded the lowliness of His handmaid.
For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
For He that is mighty has done great things for me; and holy is His name.
And His mercy is on them that fear Him throughout all generations.
He has shown strength with His arm, He has scattered the proud in the conceit of their hearts.
He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and has exalted the humble.
He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He has sent empty away.
He remembering His mercy has helped His servant Israel;
As He promised to our forefathers, to Abraham and his children forever. (Luke 1:46-55)
