Is there a cure for worry?

Does worry fill your mind and trouble your heart? Is there a cure for worry?

Jesus does not want you to suffer this way. These suggestions can help:

    Keep Quiet Time
Bring all your troubles to Jesus. Ask for His help and then trust Him to answer your prayers.

When you have a troubling thought...
picture a time and place when you were happy.

    Forgive yourself
Leave the past to God's Mercy and Love.

This poem was found in the prayer book of Saint Theresa of Avila

Let nothing disturb you,

Let nothing frighten you,

All things pass away:

God never changes.

Patience obtains all things.

He who has God

Finds he lacks nothing;

God alone suffices.

Stop worrying. Remember Jesus watches over you.

Tell yourself, "The arms of Jesus surround me. There is nothing for me to fear."

When worries enter your mind say

“Sacred Heart of Jesus, with your help I can overcome this difficulty.”

"All is well Lord, for You are with me.”

Meditation can help

Doctors are recommending meditation for those suffering serious depression or panic attacks.

Parts of the Our Father or Psalm 23 can be a focus for meditation.
